Lakes, Rivers and Seas
A series of Gutmann’s paintings and pigment works on paper, Lakes, Rivers and Seas brings together a body of works accomplished in the artist’s studio in Basel, Switzerland.
Lakes, Rivers and Seas reflects the artist’s European roots, her history, and her creative path from the lake of her birthplace, to the rivers Hudson, Rhone, Rhine and Seine, to the seas that connect nations and cultures from being to being and shore to shore.
